Qualifier Format:
- All entries must be in before the draw for sessions at 8pm the Thursday before the qualifier.
- Each qualifier will be split into 2 sessions (10am and 1pm.)
- Each session has 4 groups with the same amount of players in each group, or as close as possible, depending on entries.
- All groups will be seeded as follows :
- 1 seeded player from the top 8 in each group.
- 1 seeded player from 9th-16th in each group.
- Random draw will complete the groups.
- All players will play eachother 2 frames with 1 point awarded per frame.
- If a group has 5 players or less they will play each other 3 frames.
- Top 2 players in each group go through to the last 16. (Knockout race to 5).
- When players are tied on the same amount frames H2H will decide group positions except for 2nd place. (You can’t get knocked out by H2H).
- If 2 players are tied in 2nd place, a 1 frame playoff will decide 2nd/3rd places.
- If 3 players are tied in 1st or 2nd place, there will be a 3 way lag. The 2 worst lags will play a 1 frame playoff. The winner will then play the player who had the best lag in a 1 frame playoff. Then the players who lost play another one-frame. In short, the 3 tied players are in double-elimination to determine their ranking in the group. (double-elimination framework sheets will be provided in the event of 3-way or 4-way ties)
- Note : To sum up, it is H2H that decides group positions when tied in frames, BUT you can’t get knocked out on H2H.
