The latest news from Donegal Pool Association.
Of course, the biggest story is the World Championships being held in Ennis, from August 26th thru September 5th. Congrats to the Irish Pool Association and the committee members there that made it possible to bring this event to Ireland.
The Forgotten County has 6 players that will be taking part: Shaun Sharkey, Mini Morris and Ben McMenamin will be representing Ireland; Davy McGurn, Darragh Gallagher and Andrew Mullen will be representing Northern Ireland. We wish them all the best of luck.
For the rest of us, the calendar is pretty full. The next event in the Monthly Series is open for registration, as are the first qualifiers for the main teams and for the Ladies.
Depending on how soon the finals take place in the August/Series 2 event, the September/Series 3 event could be drawn as early as September 1st.
The Ladies qualifier is taking place on the 31st of August, 4pm. At the same time, there will be an open event for any U18 players.
The Open qualifier is on the 6th of September, with the first session at 10am, the second session at 1pm. Please see the Qualifier page for format, rules and team selection information.
All of the events need to be paid in advance, and payment can be made via the website shop, with cash in the club, or by bank transfer – either directly or with Revolut.
If you’d like to see when the rest of the qualifiers are to be held, please see the Upcoming Events page. This includes events for IPA, BFI, NIPPO, IBA and more.
